Replying To Claretandblue: "Clearly you have no great knowledge of Clonkill's prowess in recruiting players. Their own geographic size is considerable but ask any Turin supporter about their relationship with Clonkill over the past 25 years or more." Clonkill don't have some sort of 'recruitment' team like some suggest. Players have joined Clonkill from outside the parish in recent history but that's because they wanted to join a successful club when Clonkill were doing well. They have always been backboned by about 4 local families (Price, Murtagh, Loughlin, Dowdall)

Clonkill's reach extends well beyond its "parish", into Mullingar and through the downs.
Call it poaching or call it players being attracted to a successful team. There's a bit of column A, column B here. You could have said the same about St Lomans.
Turin put a huge amount of work into reviving their underage in recent years. Thankfully, it has injected a new mentality and belief into the club. Otherwise, they were under serious pressure to survive. There's no question that the "proximity" of Clonkill hindered them.
However, they've made great strides, and it's filtering through to their adult team now. They've several fine young hurlers.

Lot of Plunketts lads will have played 3 competitive championships matches with Shamrocks in the 5 week rest period between the last group match and the final.
Idea is it's a rest period which is very good idea in theory but it's been anything but a rest for Plunketts dual players and also for Castletown dual players with Malachy's for that matter.
Davy Gavin picked up an injury too last weekend so unsure if he'll play final.
Winner of Delvin vs Ringtown next week has a real chance.
Complete contrast to 2023 where Plunketts had a full five week rest more or less.

Predictions for next weekend IHC semi finals St Brigids Vs CTG. think this will be a comfortable win for St Brigids. CTG have lost a few players to senior and the Brigids lads will have a bit more power all over the field. S Gaels Vs Turin. will be a very close game. S Gaels are improving and have that bit more experience. I expect Turin will just come through narrowly .
Senior B Ringtown Vs Delvin. Delvin will be favourites in this one but I expect a mighty battle from Ringtown. There's very little between any of these teams so could go either way. Free taking will be crucial, if Ennis x 2 and Clinton play to form I expect a win for Delvin.
Senior A LLG Vs Raharney. Gaels have been impressive all year, while Raharney have stuttered. I'm expecting Raharney will be more up for it than previous games, they are due a good game. Williams x 2 and Jogger have been very impressive all year and will be very hard to contain. If Raharney get their energy levels up they have the quality to trouble the Gaels. The Gaels are on a mission this year and I expect their greater hunger to get them over the line. Whoever wins next Sunday will be hard stopped in the final.

My opinion senior a semi final hard say maybe gaels slight favourites but thinking is wrong say castletown will be slightly favourites but weather changing anything can happen but on form surely their best puts them slightly ahead.

I am just saying straight final doesn't always mean one will get caught positive and negatives to both .
But we will see and are you saying they can't win it cause not in semi final nonsense all om day and having a semi final could be benefit to gaels or raharney or final a benefit to ctg we will see.
Nonsense thought about caught first day as we can't say it was on 10 minutes 002 000.

No.katter who wins there will be those saying cause no break or too long of a break etc..

Anything less than a Leinster semi final would be a bad year for Castletown considering they got there last year and appear to be going better than they were last year.

Clearly you're a Gaels supporter. Castletown have to negotiate a county final first and doubt Buddah and co will be planning for anything other than that.
