Raharney to beat LLG
Delvin to beat Ringtown (AET)
CTG to beat Brigids
Turin to beat S/Gaels, the unfortunate long drive to Collinstown will affect Southern Gaels.

Plunketts in first minor final in over 20 years.

Outside chance of winning senior B and minor double.

Club are in a great place as underage really thriving.

Great to see both minor finals in both codes with nearly the same cohort of players. Clonkill had a very strong win in their semi-final - who are the main men from that side likely to feature at senior next year? Scoring 4-17 in today's tough conditions is some return.

Went to Ringtown today to watch St.Brigid's and from what I seen Turin won't have it all there own way in the Intermediate final. Unfortunately no match program but there defence was very fast and mobile and hard tackling. Cully in midfield was everywhere and Finbar Coyne and Mullen are real scoring threats. Number 7 was man of the match for me and chipped in with scores. There minors won the Division 2 league and are in the championship final against Cullion/Delvin combination. New Pitch on the way as well, could St.Brigid's rise again and get back up the ladder.

Very competitive game at Collinstown.Very hard on Southern Gaels to travel the whole length of the county to play in a championship semi final against a team who play most of their underage matches on that pitch.
To add insult to injury the host club didn't even bother to mark the pitch.
Disgraceful stuff as we bypassed the Ballymore, Rochfortbridge, Kinnegad, Killucan, Raharney and Clonkill grounds who all have hosted championship hurling matches this year and would have been more neutral and one would imagine have the pitch marked.
Taking nothing away from Turin who battled tooth and nail to reach their first adult final in many years.
Both teams missed chances in the difficult conditions and the game could have gone either way.

I agree on this point. Over an hour drive for southern Gaels today for a semi final in "neutral" venue. Take in to account Turin had to travel less than 10 mins. Imagine the outrage if the game was fixed in Garrycastle or Tubberclair pitches. The disrespect for hurling down around Athlone didn't start today but it's important to highlight it.

As poster said above Turin won on the day and deserved it. Very disappointing hearing what bench and supporters were saying to Gaels free taker.

I doubt any of those other pitches would have been playable.

On Tomorrow games , very hard to call.
On the Senior b from seeing some games on iarmhi tv it seems delvin have been more consistent in games but ringtown have huge performances in them.
Good players on both sides. I say goals maybe key I think Delvin may edge it by 2 or 3 points.
ON THE Senior A Lough len gaels vs Raharney
Gaels probably start as deserving favourites and will be very hungry to reach the final again and make amends for recent years. However Raharney also want to get back to final and also put the recent defeats against gaels to the sword. Quality on both sides Gaels probably have been more consistent all year and coming into form nicely . Raharney in fits and starts have been good and bad but saw enough vs Castletown they can trouble LLgaels if they are on it

Both sides can be physical ,it is who uses their forward line the best will win in my opinion and whoever is more clinical.

Gaels favourites and will be hungry but if Raharney can get prominent players like Doyle and Keys on the ball and have big performances and cut out some of their wild use of ball and shooting shown in some of the games I have feeling they could upset the apple cart.

Raharney to win in a tight game to set up a meeting with Castletown.

I could be completely wrong ha.

You and jobber speak more nonsense than any other people on this forum. There was a minor match in Clonkill this afternoon, Castletown also had a match there, the Westmeath ladies board couldn't get venues for three of their finals today and tomorrow, the Lgfa spent hours trying to secure pitches but unsuccessfully. Maybe you and jobber didn't notice the rain that fell on Thursday and Friday and overnight or the storm warnings. Pitches are owned by clubs and clubs are not obliged to give them to anyone

You're not getting the point. Maybe these clubs mentioned were asked and their pitches were unplayable, but were the clubs down south of Westmeath asked. Would Turin been happy to travel to Moate, Tang, Tubberclair. No they wouldn't and the county board knew this, so didn't bother looking south of mullingar. It has been this way for the last 50 years and it wasn't going to change this weekend.

Southern gaels have played most of their group games in ballymore for the last good few years, it is like a 2nd home to them now. And from what i can remember most semi finals the have played were in ballymore. Semi final last year was in ballymore, 2022 they had semi final in ballymore. Very unfair on the teams they played in them games considering they play most of their games in that pitch. About time the county board took them out of there, and as for abuse from the bench Southern gaels is one of the worst teams for jeering and roaring at opposition teams from the bench

Good to see a hurling semi final played at a hurling pitch and not a football pitch

I wouldn't call that pitch yesterday a hurling pitch it was more of field with two goal posts.

But this response shows why hurling in this county will never improve. Westmeath are on the verge of becoming a tier 3 county in hurling. Some people up the "north" of the county act like the county team are a tier 1 county. County board should be doing everything they can to improve hurling in around Athlone and Moate.

The fact that yesterday semi wasn't played in a neutral venue proves my point!

It was neutral.
Where did Southern Gaels want it?
It was unfortunate that this game wasn't fixed for Kinnegad in first place as these two teams were always going to have the biggest following of the four semi final teams

Insulting Collinstown while you're at it. What are you doing to promote hurling? Zero
