Very sad week for the Murphy family in Curry. Hundreds and thousands of tributes are testament to the goodness of people. This is a tragic case that appears to be dealt by the Curry Club with compassion. This funeral needs to be respectful and not glorified. There are probably other people all over the country in a dark place and they must see that there are brighter days ahead, they just need to figure out how to get there.

Rest in peace Red Og, thanks for the memories.

My heart goes out to his family and friends, the Curry and Sligo community. Still so hard to comprehend, so tragic and heartbreaking. Just two weeks I was so happy to see him named in the Sigerson team of the year. He would always come up in conversations about the future of Sligo GAA as a beacon of hope. From all the tributes he was much more than a footballer to those that knew him best, a gentle soul. As Eoinog says hopefully, anyone else out there suffering in a dark place will reach out and get the help they need. It's ok not to feel ok.

It cant be easy for any of the Sligo GAA teams to play over the next few weeks or past week, no matter what happens we are proud of you all and we are all with you always.

Any chance of a Sligo win tomorrow evening? Who would be the main players on the panel? Any injuries?

Difficult to know what to expect from this team after the events off the field the last 10 days. A lot of homework needed to be done after the loss in the Philly Mc Guinness Cup and that was hardly addressed with the tragedy as preparations went out the window. The stronghold of the Gas of Tourlestrane, Tubber, Curry Mary's have very few players involved in the panel while Ballymote, Molaise, Drumcliffr and Harps are well represented. It's significant that these are intermediate teams. I would travel in hope more than confidence.

It's a hard semi final to call. Sligos last three minor teams was strong so won't be easy to select the best 24 from those teams. Good league campaign losing out narrowly to Westmeath who have a strong team this year also.

In other news Sligo seniors game v New York will be live on GAAGO on Sunday evening.

Tubber a lot way from been a stronghold. Can't field an u 17 team. Only 1 u11 team between Tubber and Cloobacool. Underage a shambles. Curry have a few on the panel. Tourlestrane only 1.

Just looked through results last evening and I see Tubbercurry/Cloonacool have conceded all games at minor level which is worrying to see in the second week of April. Bad form when amalgamated teams aren't working out especially when ya have the second biggest town and biggest GAA secondary school in your catchment.

Yes Tubber are not doing well at underage but the fact is traditionally they are in the heart of the GAA countryside. Teams in the north division do a lot of huffing and puffing with no end result. I wouldn't have thought that Tubber was the second biggest town but it's probably correct. Apart from the town they are fairly hemmed in by Tourlestrane, Curry, Coolaney and of course Cloonacool. Collooney are a big town but have a much larger catchment area. Maybe these young lads from clubs that are not traditionally strong might buck the trend and put their club on the map, hopefully starting this evening
