We got the result we needed, deserved and ultimately craved. This puts the wheels back on the trailer and that trailer comes in the shape of a promotion of the team itself. Brilliant second half today by all accounts. We could be 3rd in two weeks time with a win v London (great chance to get a good look at them before Championship) and a Sligo loss to Cavan. Remaining four games all have potential to cause a slip (particularly Wexford) but a winner take all game in Round 7 would be a great occasion and Markievicz would surely be packed. Well done Leitrim on your win today. Andy Moran seems to have brought a really positive attitude to the camp and instilled plenty of confidence in the squad. Hopefully you can go back to division 3 again this year and push on further. No doubt plenty of talent and ability in Leitrim, just a matter of getting the most out of it. Great win today well done to all involved. London in 2 weeks ,they are on full points so another big performance needed. We can't afford to look ahead to sligo , there are plenty of potential banana skins for us, need to take it one game at a time but we are the match of any of the teams left to play. First time ever nearly that I can think of Leitrim going down to a more or less must-win game and winning comfortably. Given themselves a shot now after the Cavan loss so lets see how things go against Sligo and London and hopefully avoid a slip up against either the remaining 3. Get the feeling that barring a miraculous run by London continuing, that it will be the game with us and Sligo will decide who goes up along with Cavan.
