Be great if he is for him personally especially.

Happy with team prefer silke in corner now and a hernon DOF is a great 1 2 punch from wing back.

Not bothered if conroy or Cooke starts and happy if Flaherty gets another start.

I expect a win I just think when it comes to 40:50 minutes we can introduce Cooke DOF Molloy Heaney Sweeney and maybe Comer don't think they will strength to live with that

Happy with team named but would not be surprised if firther changes. Biggest surprise is Damo back in 26. As much as I would love see him get game time I find it hard to imagine he was out injured with a muscle injury and 8 days later is ok to come on against Down. Thinki t says more about PJs lack of trust in an "inside forward" Culhane O Curraoin O Conghaile Costelloe etc. I would be surprised if Gleeson comes back in but would also be happy to give Flaherty another go and get his confidence up. Expecting a tough game but galway to prevail by 5-6

We have plenty of talent but most Galway people rank Galway around the level of your assessment."
You're spot on 4-8, exactly what I've been saying.
Might not be all Galway supporters and you seem level headed but there is definetely an element among the supporters who think there superior to what they are.
The media hype is just ridiculous.

I have strong belief that we will see Conroy come off the bench and Cooke starts.

dont underestimate a northern team, always estimate, has been the undoing of many.

As someone living in Galway, I don't know where this perception of hype is coming from. If anything, we talk down our team.
People are definitely happy to see us contending again after years in the doldrums. It also appears to be a very open period in the football at the moment, after a decade of Dublin dominance, so many counties are excited at the prospect of having a shot.
As for rankings, they're fairly meaningless at the moment. You could throw a blanket over a batch of teams. Armagh are All-Ireland champions and deserve to be thought of as number 1, but if they played Donegal in a few weeks, it wouldn't be a shock at all if Donegal beat them again.
Every team left has weaknesses and there's a number who can beat each other on a given day.
If any of 6 counties end up lifting Sam this year, I wouldn't be surprised at all. It's great for the game.

Ó Curraoin is working his way back from injury so hasnt been in contention.

Is his injury bad? Lets be honest though he was out struggling for his spot since losing it in latter stages of league. My point stands PJ doesnt trust his subs - See Culhane & O Conghaile for example. Culahne got 5 mins against Dubs O Conghaile not even on 26 since Mayo game where he actually kicked the last point. O Neill not seen since Derry after being hooked after 15 - 20 mins.

How are Dublin ahead of Meath in championship performance to date? How do you equate Monaghan or even Armagh higher than Meath for that matter? It is really subjective but wouldn't agree with this. Also Down on a par with Meath on winning all Ireland when you think Galway or going to win Sunday? Wouldn't have Donegal as favourites either. Not playing a progressive style to suit new game. Could get knocked out in quarters.

He does trust his subs just not a few of the forwards who are hot and generally cold.

Cooke Molloy Hernon Heaney DOF well trusted to impact game

Clare are definetely not in the top 8. Don't know how you could argue they are.

What do you want?? Meath number 1??

I understand Meath beat Dublin but I think all in all Dublin have been good since then, so have Meath but there really isnt much between a lot of teams. Meath could possibly be a bit higher to be fair.

Who would be your number 1? Based on the teams they have played and beat it has to be Donegal or Armagh surely, whats the argument otherwise? All the teams Donegal have played are in the last 12 apart from Mayo and Derry who were division 1 teams this year.
