I'll be watching all 4 games online for €20.
Wonder will dressing rooms be open.

It was €20 in Offaly to attend both Senior A and Senior B finals, which were a double header. I wouldn't mind paying €20 to see both the Senior and Intermediate (which would be the equivalent to Senior B in Offaly) finals to be honest.

I think not having two semi finals as a double header and leaving time between them so they could charge into each individually was worse than asking for €15 for the finals though.

Interesting game tomorrow. Who will win? I go for Garrycastle who have a super record in finals and beat Lomans in 2 SF finals from 2 meetings. They know how to grind out the big result.

Garrycastle certainly the better side in today's drawn game but Loman's will hardly be as poor the next day. Alex Gardiner the man of the match with Garrycastle getting solid performances from the majority of their side. Loman's appeared sluggish and Kelvin Reilly didn't seem suited to the sweeper role. He improved when switched and TJ Cox, John Heslin and Fola Aroyinde were influential as they clawed back the deficit. Loman's kicked maybe 11-12 wides and were the more relieved team at final whistle.

Garrycastle threw that one away easily could've won by 6+. Dessie Dolan who hasn't played a game all year at any level comes on which is extremely stupid

Crazy decision bringing on Dessie Dolan.
Alex Gardiner blew it for Garrycastle. He had a chance to finish the game but went for glory & the referee was always going to give Lomans a chance. Garrycastle might just have missed their chance, i cant see Lomans being as bad the next day.

Hadn't played a game in 2 years, and is 42 years old. Seems from the outside looking in that they just put him on to say he has won 9 medals. Crazy carry on.

Not sure they should of won by 6+ as generally GC were only 2 pts up from 10 mins into 2nd half. Think Dolan kicked GC 2 pts up 28/29 mins into 2nd half but Gardner goal miss when he could of took the point was critical especially on 63 mins and time up. After that miss and SL gathered they were going to get a chance as refs always play for that (draw and replay) even if time is up!

Totally agree. Ger Heneghan came on in semi final and has been active at junior level all year. He was the experienced head they needed at that stage. Dessie wanted the 9th medal on the field of play, poor decision by management to select him and an insult to the other subs training all year. He wasn't togged out versus The Downs. Loman's will have all the momentum for the replay.

Dessie Dolan came on to win his 9th senior title. He hasn't appeared all year. Im amazed that John keane allowed this to happen. It is easy to blame Alex Gardner but he was outstanding the whole game as he has done the whole year and indeed for years John heslin pulled lomans to a draw. They will I have no doubt win the replay

I guess they hoped he'd buy a free or 2 and slow it down. Gary Dolan in the stand again, is he still suspended ? Duignan and Keane on the line give the officials some grief. You'd imagine Lomans will learn more and will be better set up the next day. 2 subs in before HT tell its own story. Garrycastle subs didnt really make any impact. The suspended Mannion will be back for replay this day week

Garrycastle ran out of energy in the 2nd half but some of the football they played in the 1st half was unbelievable for a November afternoon. Tj Cox stood up for Lomans today and was brilliant when things weren't going well for o Toole and Heslin.

Replay will be a hard call.

Ref hardly played for a draw. The clock was barely on 33.00 when Jason Daly saved Gardiner's shot. The ball was in play so he couldn't blow full time, no ref would have. Loman's got within scoring range and free awarded which was a definite free.

Super entertainment. Fair play to both side. Some of the scores and passages of play were simply brilliant. I'm sure the next day will be another tight affair..

For a cracking draw game and a replay coming up this Sunday this forum is very quiet, how do we see the replay is going to go? Will garrycastle rue Sunday's missed chance or will Lomans take charge of this Sunday's game? I think the replay will be a better game with both sides learning from mistakes and really making a game of it

I was thinking the same thing, the replay can't come quick enough.. really looking forward to it..

Few things I noted from the first day just in general!

No parade, with such an amazing marching band playing before the game I thought it was really poor form not to allow the players parade around and get the crowd going and be appreciated before kick off, that's always an amazing part of a final.. gets the atmosphere gong.. because it was a bit dead in the beginning did anyone think!?

Also no dressing rooms.. what's going on there? Aren't teams allowed into dressing rooms now? Players had to walk up through supporters to tog out and put on jerseys in front of everyone! Getting gear bags, up and down the steps 3/4 times before the game! Give the players and management a dressing room.. let the players run out onto the pitch.. create the excitement of a county final! I think Westmeath GAA need to correct that's two things for the next day .. anyone think similar?

You may as well talk to the wall. Westmeath Gaa have given a firm no when it comes to dressing rooms. To be honest it's just lazy from them. They say they don't have enough volunteers to check vaccine certs. Very easy fix would be to get both club officials to gather copies of the players vaccine certs days before the match and have them check led off when the players come to the dressing room.

Also strange that there is no dressing room for players but it's okay for all the county officials and stewards to be in having coffee at half time in a small compacted room under the stand. Same goes for the referees/linesman/umpires and 4th officials are all in a small dressing so it's one rule for the officials and another for the players.

It was laughable having both teams on the pitch at halftime last weekend when kids are running into the middle of their huddles

100% .. it was all a bit mad looking at it to be honest! And I have to say the meanness of having the tickets for students and seniors at €8 instead of €5 for the replay is another black mark against the county board! What's €3 to them, when €3 is a lot for a student or senior most of the time! Everything is just always a middle finger to supporters… the semi final games not being a double header .. money grabbing.. the iarmhi tv always being €10 per game with no option for a discount to watch a few games! Money grabbing! It's not like you're entering a state of the art stadium with fancy seats or anything like it.. the outside walls have been painted.. that's it.. the pitch is still a mess with muck everywhere!

Another huge concern is that the stewards lack the gates during the game and go watch the match.. my wife was late coming to game and she had to wait 10 minutes to get let in as there was nobody at the gate. That's dangerous and if anyone wanted to leave they can't. God forbid a fire or emergency happened that's somebody had to leave.
