The Hyde pitch seemed to be in very poor condition for the ladies game at the weekend. I know we had the very hot weather but I didn't notice any other pitch in the country as patchy or poor looking.

Surely the grounds man could have got a sprayer from a farmer and watered it. Shocking bad by who ever is tasked with looking after it

A few large tankers from the Shannon down the road might be a good idea. It was not the only pitch that looked very poor. The new pitch in Castlebar looked just as bad as did many some around the country.

You would need approx 30,000 gallons of water at a minimum for the Hyde. That would only be one watering.

You can say that again.

Think we have a clean bill of health apart from Tadhg obviously, Daire Cregg is back in contention.

I wonder how we'll approach it, we need to rack up a big score to have any hope of catching the Dubs. Kildare will probably setup to frustrate us. A few goals essential to have any chance.

Am I right in saying if Kildare beat us we finish third ?

Yes, unless Sligo beat Dublin.......

You are correct. Kildare will finish second based on winning the head to head. If they were to beat us by a low score, we would both finish on three points, but we would have a much better scoring difference. Something like 14 points which seems a little unfair to me. At least the rules were out in advance.

Great to hear that Adam is playing very well and there is competition to get into the matchday 26. However there is a big difference between playing Clans second team and the Dubs in Croke Park. He might get a chance yet as Davy Burke and the selectors have shown that they are not afraid to play young players. Also putting pressure on the older players to keep performing well. I would say training at the moment is fairly competitive which is want we all want. Looking forward to the match on Sunday. Hopefully we will bring good support as the match is on TV.

Lennon named on the bench but I'll be surprised if that's the case come throw in time. Doyle not on the 26 a surprise, good to see Daire Cregg return. Best of luck to Roscommon on Sunday.

Keith Doyle ruled out Sunday because of injury.

Keith Doyle seems to be only new absentee for Sunday, injured. Thankfully we have Eddie back flying.

Very disappointing result yesterday. Many players looked heavy legged and we never really got going. Enda Smith was our best player again and kept us in the game. 11 wides against Kildares 5, tells its own story. Kickouts were not as good ad normal and put us under pressure. Kildare had some really good players and number 11 Ben McCormack had a great game. We can have no complaints about the result on the day. Davy Burke talked last week about disliking the mark. After 5 scoring marks against us yesterday, I'd say he dislikes it more today.
Great to see such support for the Rossies yesterday when the match was TV.
The against Cork next week makes for a very interesting game. Cork came from 6 points against Mayo to score 1-6 without reply to win by three. They have some very strong runners, but I still think we will do the business. A lot of our players were off form yesterday and have the chance to put things right next week.
Well done to Kildare. You deserved the win on the day.
