After todays action we are now down to the last four in the Senior, Intermediate and Junior football championship. Moynaltya nd St. Mary's will contest the Junior B final.

Sunday September 14th

A Conor Gray goal in the second half proved crucial as holders Dunshaughlin put their recent bad form behind them and broke their place in the semi final.

Ratoath needed extra time to see off the challenge of Donaghmore Ashbourne. Cian Rogers, who had been substituted in the first half, came back on in the last half of extra time a scored the all important goals.

Favourites Moynalvey were too strong for last years JFC winners Dunsany at Dunganny. The winners led 2-17 to 0-2 at the break. Castletown’s hopes of a treble are well and truly alive after their eight point win over Drumbaragh at Moynalty. Justin Carry Lynch’s side have already won the Corn na Boinne and the Division 4 FL.

Clann na nGael eased their way into the Junior semi finals with a 17 point win over neighbours Dunderry at Sean Newman Park.

Saturday September 13th

A John Finnerty goal in the 59th minute gave Skryne a one point win over Ballinabrackey in an absorbing SFC quarter final at Pairc Tailteann. Danny Quinn had a chance to create more history for the Bracks but his attempt at a two pointer after the hooter came back of the upright.

Summerhill cruised into the last four with a comfortable win over neighbours Trim in the second game of the day at HQ. Second half goals from Adam Flanagan and Conor Lyons paved the way for a ten point win.

Two late points for St. Michaels sent them to the last four of the IFC at Ballinlough. Not for the first time this season Gearoid O’Malley was outstanding as the Carlanstown Kilbeg outfit stunned the favourites at Ballinlough.

St. Vincents are back in the JFC semi final after a narrow win over Moylagh at Rathkenny.

Friday September 12th

Penalties were needed to decide the senior football championship relegation semi final at Castletown. Simonstown and Meath Hill finished all square after extra time. Ben Hoey’s save from Eoghan Gough’s spot kick proved crucial for the Navan side. Meath Hill take on St. Colmcilles in the final.

Kilbride are through to the Intermediate Football Championship semi final after their two point win over St. Pats in Ashbourne.

Bective secured Intermediate Football Championship status for 2026 with a six point win over Curraha at Seneschalstown. David Nolan’s men went in at the break 2-6 to 1-5 in front. Curraha take on O’Mahony’s in the final.

St. Mary’s became the first team this year to reach a championship final after their four point win over Cortown. It was all square 1-5 to 0-8 at the break in Paddy O’Brien Park. St. Mary’s await the winners of Moynalty and Kilmainhamwood.

Thursday 11th September

Ballivor have secured Intermediate Football Championship status for 2025 after a surprisingly comfortable win over Navan O’Mahony’s in the relegation semi final at a packed Cortown. The winners were 0-7 to 0-5 in front at the break and a goal just after the restart put Kevin Dowd’s men in control. The Hoops now turn their attention to a relegation final against Bective or Curraha.

Wednesday 10th September

Gaeil Colmcille preserved their Senior Football Championship status with seven points to spare over a very disappointing St. Colmcilles side in the relegation semi final played at Fr. Tully Park Seneschalstown. The Kells side dominated most of the opening half and an Andrew Gormley goal on the 20th minute gave them a 1-3 to 0-0 lead. Con Cleary’s men led 1-7 to 0-2 at the break. The Seasiders produced a mini revival in the opening ten minutes of the second half. Ruairi O’Grady netted on the 10th minute but that proved to be their last score. Gaeil Colmcille added three points to their tally to seal victory. The ‘Cilles’ will take on either Simonstown or Meath Hill in the final.
