Round 4 of the Senior and Intermediate Hurling Championship concluded with the meeting of holders Ratoath and Kildalkey at Pairc Tailteann. The Junior and Junior B are down to the last four.

Sunday August 24th

The day started at 11 o’clock in Batterstown and resulted in a one point win for Rathmolyon over Dunboyne in the Intermediate. Over in Pairc Tailteann Trim had little difficulty in dispatching a Killyon team without Keith Keogan and David Raleigh. Kilmessan recovered from their round 3 loss to see off Na Fianna. The big game of the weekend failed to live up to expectation as Ratoath were comfortable winners over Kildalkey.

Saturday August 23rd

Three wins in a row for Kiltale. Since losing to holders Ratoath in round 1 John Donoghue’s men have scored 8-85 in the last three rounds. Clann na nGael recorded their first win of the campaign with nine to spare over Longwood. Last years IHC winners Navan O’Mahonys picked up their first point of the campaign against Dunderry at Athboy.

Kilskyre Moylagh continue to impress in the Intermediate with 11 to spare over last years finalists Drumree in Dunsany.

Friday August 22nd

A hat trick of goals from corner forward Cormac Swan helped Kilmessan on their way to a second win in Group A of the Intermediate Hurling Championship.

The Group stages of the Junior Hurling Championship are complete Ratoath take on Dunboyne and Kiltale meet Killyon in the semi finals.
