This afternoon’s Allianz Football League Division 4 opener between Waterford and Longford has been postponed due to an unplayable pitch at Fraher Field.

The Dungarvan venue was deemed unplayable after a pitch inspection this morning and a new date for the game is set to be confirmed by the GAA in the coming days.

"Supporters who have already purchased tickets are advised to retain them until further notice,” a statement from Waterford GAA read on Saturday morning.

“Additional ticketing information will be communicated once the new fixture details are confirmed."
