Former Cork dual star Mark Keane has been named in the 2025 AFL All-Australian squad.
Keane, who famously scored a last-minute winning goal against Kerry in the 2020 Munster SFC semi-final and played both football and hurling for the Rebels in 2022, is included a 44-man selection which will be halved to 22 at the AFL awards night tomorrow. The recognition comes as the Mitchelstown native enjoys an outstanding season with the Adelaide Crows, who he joined from Collingwood in 2023.
Keane signed a three-year contract extension with the Crows last year and has made 54 appearances for them to date, including 23 this season.
He is one of five Adelaide players included, with defending Premiership champions Brisbane Lions, Gold Coast and Western Bulldogs also having five representatives on the shortlist. Keane is hoping to become the first Irish AFL All-Australian since the late Jim Stynes was honoured in 1993.
