Armagh star Oisin O’Neill reckons that manager Kieran McGeeney’s biggest issue with the FRC’s rule changes is the fact that they’re “continuously changing”.

This week saw the controversial kickout mark rule changed following a vote taken by Central Council, meaning that it will be in effect for this weekend's All-Ireland SFC preliminary quarter-finals and Tailteann Cup semi-finals.

Speaking at the recent launch of the All-Ireland senior football championship’s knockout stage, O’Neill said the regular tweaking of the new rules since they were brought in at the start of the Allianz League has proved a headache for managers like McGeeney and the players as well.

"I think Kieran's biggest issue with them is they constantly change. We played half the league and they changed them," the Crossmaglen clubman is quoted saying by RTE Sport.

"They're talking about another change this week. There's four rounds of the championship left!

"I think Kieran has no issue with the rules. It's more just that they're continuously changing.

"As players, that's frustrating because you're working on one thing one week and then it might change."
