Rathcoffey footballer Conor Harris on Davy's Toughest Team.

The first episode of Davy Fitzgerald's new four-part series, Davy's Toughest Team, aired on RTÉ One last night, and starred Kildare club footballer Conor Harris.

The 21-year-old Rathcoffey clubman is one of seven young men, all aged between 18 and 21, who have encountered difficulties in their lives, aiming to climb the country's highest mountain, Carrantuohill. The initial aim was to trek to the base camp of Mount Everest but the Covid-19 pandemic put paid to those plans.

Wexford manager and Clare All-Ireland winner Fitzgerald, along with performance coach Mattie Rice and wilderness expert Dane Galligan, take the lads through various challenges over a two-day camp at a remote location in the Wicklow hills in preparation for the enormous climbing challenge.

Shout out to Rathcoffey GAA Club adult footballer Conor Harris who appeared on RTE's Davy's Toughest Team' last night. If you missed it, you can catch it on the RTE Player.
