Former Limerick hurler Ger Hegarty will be a proud man on Sunday as two of his sons will line out in the county's colours.

Gearoid Hegarty has been earning a real name for himself with the Limerick seniors for the past couple of years and he is an integral part of the side that has performed so well this year.

On Sunday, they take on Clare in what is effectively a Munster semi-final, with the winners advancing to the provincial decider.

The Limerick minors are also in action at Cusack Park, Ennis and included in that team is Diarmuid Hegarty, another son of Ger's.

A winner of Munster medals at senior, under-21 and minor, Ger certainly could offer his sons plenty of advice ahead of the weekend's games.

Ironically, both brothers will line out at wing forward for their respective teams and the Hegarty family is sure to be out in force cheering them on.
