Camogie: Wexford book final spot

Wexford are back in the Gala All-Ireland senior camogie final after a dominant second half display saw them overcome Kilkenny in yesterday's semi-final at Nowlan Park.

The home side were rampant early on with Ann Dalton grabbing the first three points of the game. But a physical stronger Wexford side eventually settled to their task and helped by six Ursula Jacob frees, they led by 0-8 to 0-7 at half-time.

The game remained in the melting pot until the 46th minute when Katrina Parrock scored the first of three final quarter goals for the Slaneysiders. Pattrock set up Kelly for the second two minutes later before Kelly added the third in the closing stages.

Kilkenny were left to rue seven second half wides and only managed three points before Denise Gaule scored an injury-time consolation goal.
