Decision time for Fitzhenry
January 20, 2010

Wexford keeper Damien Fitzhenry
Damien Fitzhenry will decide in the coming days if he is to commit to an 18th season of inter-county hurling with Wexford.
The Duffry Rovers clubman, who made his senior debut in 1993 and is the only remaining link with the Model County's 1996 All-Ireland winning team, did not feature in last weekend's challenge games last weekend against Limerick and Leinster club champions Ballyhale Shamrocks.
Wexford manager Colm Bonnar was unable to say what the long-serving goalkeeper's future intentions are.
"We'll be meeting up this week for a chat. Clearly it's an issue for Damien as to whether he has the appetite for another season," he said.
"The decision is his to make. Perhaps after this week we'll know more. At the moment we have three 'keepers in the squad and will continue our preparations with them. But still Damien's experience would be invaluable to what is now a young squad."
