Enough is enough for Multy

October 18, 2017

Multyfarnham manager Louis Ennis stressed that they weren't going to leave another final behind them.

Having been defeated in their last JFC decider, Multy needed a replay to see off Ballynacargy this time around, much to the relief of all concerned.

It is 61 years since the club won a junior title and Ennis stressed to the Westmeath Examiner that they would savour the occasion before knuckling down and focusing on the Leinster club JFC campaign.

"We decided after the last day when we got the opportunity to get the draw that we weren't going to let the chance go and, right from the off, we were going to attack this game," said Ennis.

"We knew we had the fitness, we knew we had the players, we knew we had the ability, it was a matter of delivering. I read somewhere recently, where Galway hurlers had said 'enough is enough' and that was our mantra in the last couple of weeks, and after 61 years it was time for Multy to get over the line."

Multy begin their Leinster club JFC campaign with an away clash against Wicklow side Laragh in Aughrim on Saturday.

He added: "It's important that the players and the people of Multy enjoy this for a night or two, but we will be giving the Leinster campaign due consideration later in the week.
