Carr: we'll be underdogs

May 23, 2012
Westmeath minor manager Tom Carr admits that his charges will be underdogs against Meath.

The Midlanders booked their place in the Leinster semi final following a three-point win over Wicklow last Saturday and now they meet old rivals and neighbours Meath in the last four.

The match will not be played until mid-July as there is a break now for the Leaving Cert, but Carr stated to the Westmeath Examiner that they have nothing to lose.

"No doubt we'll be total underdogs going in against Meath. We played them in a challenge game earlier in the year and they were hugely impressive, and I know they've huge intentions of winning Leinster," said Carr.

"It will be a big day for us, but I think we've nothing to lose at this stage."
