Athlone GAA Notes

U12 Boys:
Athlone welcomed Oran from Roscommon to Pairc Chiarain last Wednesday. Despite the unseasonably cold weateher there was plenty of excellent football on display to warm the hearts of the spectators. Our new scoreboard was operational for the first time at an underage game and at the end it read Athlone 6-05 to Oran's 4-08 but the score was incidiental such was the high level of skill shown by both sides. We are grateful to Oran for travelling on Wednesady night and look forward to the return fixture. Well done to Dobsey, Liam and Joe who continue to get great displays out of our U-12s. Keep up the good work.
