U14 League
St Marys played their penultimate match of this year's league when they travelled to take on the unbeaten St Lomans on Thursday 17th May. Also unbeaten, St Marys knew they would have a battle on their hands. St Lomans were first to get into their stride and raced into a 1-2 to 0-1 lead early on. St Marys reorganised and gradually came to grips with the home team as they scored a further 1-5 for the concession of a solitary point to lead by 1-6 to 1-3 at half-time.
The second half belonged to St Marys as they attacked with purpose and defended tigerishly to run out worthy winners of a tough contest. There were strong performances all over the field as St Marys produced one of their better games of the season so far.
Final score; St Marys 1-16, St Lomans 1-06.
Team; Cathal Jessop, Eddie Whelehan, Sean Downey, Aidan Robinson, Jamie Rooney, Mark Hyland, Ned Cully, Sean Lyster(0-3), Francis Duffy(0-3), Adam Bradley(0-2), Anthony Brady(0-1), Matthew Rowden(0-2), Jack Hall(0-1), Matthew Bradley(1-2), Eoin Fallon(0-2), Jerry Byrne, Enda Cully, Luke McManus.

U16 League
St Marys travelled to Garrycastle on Monday 14th May for round 5 of the league. On a wet and windy evening, St Marys opted to play with the wind in the first half and built up a 6 point lead at half time. Given the strength of the wind, it was doubtful if that lead would suffice as Garrycastle were really putting it up to St Marys. As soon as the second half began Garrycastle began to eat into the St Marys lead. St Marys replied with good scores of their own but the scoring rate of Garrycastle brought the teams level with 10 minutes to go. With an absolute gale blowing at this stage, St Marys couldn't get good quality ball up front and it was Garrycastle who finished with a flurry to run out winners by 5 points. This was a disappointing result for St Marys but great credit is due to the home side for overcoming the elements to turn in a great performance.
Final score; St Marys 3-08, Garrycastle 3-13.
Team; Matthew Bradley, Ryan Delaney, Ryan Gavin, Andrew Bollard, Sam Plant, Eoghan O'Malley, Peter Lalor, Hugh Lyster, Adam Kavanagh, Saya Nxumalo, Brandon Darcy, Cathal Moran, Josh Byrne, Jack Reid, Steven Lynch, Liam Metcalfe, Sean Downey.

Minor League
St. Mary's minors were in action against Caulry in round 6 of the minor football ( Div 1) league on Thursday last May 17th. A last gasp point late into injury time for Caulry ensured the spoils were shared in this match. In truth this was a fair result and St. Marys would have settled for a draw a half time as our lads were very slow to adjust to the pace of the game. Caulry were on top in vital areas of the pitch and raced into a 10 point to 3 lead at the interval.
Half time score: Caulry 0:10 , St. Marys 0:3.
On the resumption St. Marys knew that they had a mountain to climb and dominated the opening spell, but missed several gilt-edged goal chances to reduce the deficit. Credit must go for the perseverance shown by the boys in green and white who continued to tag on vital points when all looked lost, to reduce the margin and when the vital score of the game did come, a high ball into the square was cleverly flicked to the top left hand corner of the net by Hugh Lyster . St. Marys knew that the game was there for the taking. A further two points from play sent the home team to the fore but that converted free kick late into injury time meant both teams shared the spoils which on the whole was a fair result.
Final score: St. Marys 1:11, Caulry 0:14
Panel: Richie Harris, Adam Kavanagh, Patrick Geraghty, Eoghan O'Malley, Ryan Gavin, Brian O' Sullivan, Martin Daly, Luke Gallagher, Hugh Lyster, Gary Morgan, Ian Hyland, Lenny Gavin, Paul Metcalfe, Ciaran Whitson, Ian Keelan, Sam Plant, Josh Byrne.
