The competitors in the Feile skills competition
Under 14 County Blitz
Westmeath are hosting an Under 14 county blitz on Saturday next in Castletown Geoghegan. Games start at 12 noon and finish at 3pm. Best of luck to the Westmeath team.

Under 12 Go Game
The final U12 go-game blitz was held in Castlepollard on Satrurday last. Well done to all the teams that took part and many thanks to Castlepollard for hosting the blitz.

Under 12 Mini League
The U12 Mini League kicks off on Wednesday 23rd May. In Division 1 the fixtures are Clonkill v Castletown Geoghegan, St. Munnas v Crookedwood, Lough Lene Gaels v St. Oliver Plunketts, Brownstown have a bye. In Divison 2 its Raharney v Castlepollard, Longford v Delvin, Drumraney v Cullion and St. Bridgets have a bye. Games are at 6:30 and normal 12 a-side rules apply. Home side to provide referee.

Under 14 Championship
There were a number of games played in the U14 championship last week. In the Premier Div 1 Raharney defeated Crookedwood and Clonkill accounted for Lough Lene Gaels. In Premier Div 2 Brownstown beat Castletown Geoghegan and St. Munnas beat Delvin both by the narrowest of margins, whilst in the 'A' competition the game between Castlepollard and St. Oliver Plunketts was postponed, Cullion defeated Drumraney and St. Bridgets and Longford were due to play on 21st May.

There were a number of games fixed for Monday 21st May as set out in last week's notes - results next week.

The fixtures for May 28th are: Premier Div 1 - Crookedwood v Clonkill; Raharney v Lough Lene Gaels. Premier Div 2 - Castletown Geoghegan v Delvin; Brownstown v St. Munnas. U14 'A' - St. Bridgets v Drumraney; St. Oliver Plunketts v Cullion; Castlepollard v Longford.

Under 16
In a re-scheduled game Raharney beat St. Munnas in the Under 16 championship last week.


Junior and Senior 9-a-side league.
The 9-a-side league kicked off last week. In the Junior competition St. Bridgets beat St. Oliver Plunketts and the game between Crookedwood and Drumraney ended in a draw. In the Senior competition the game between St. Munna's and Castletown Geoghegan was postponed, Delvin beat Cullion and Clonkill accounted for Lough Lene Gaels.
Fixtures for Friday 25th May: Junior - Drumraney v St. Bridgets; Brownstown v St. Oliver Plunketts; Crookedwood have a bye. Senior - Castletown Geoghegan v Delvin; Cullion v Lough Lene Gaels; Clonkill v St. Munnas.

Féile Skills Competition
The County Féile Skills competition took place on Wednesday evening last in Turin. Well done to all the competitors who took part - Olivia Kelleghan, Delvin; Rebecca Croach, Clonkill; Laura Dugdale, Brownstown; April Flanagan, Raharney; Niamh McCarty, Castlepollard; Katie Egan, Lough Lene Gaels; Aoife Corcoran, Castletown Geoghegan; Katie Heffernan, St. Munnas; Sarah Burke, Cullion.
The result of the competition was: 1st Aoife Corcoran, 2nd Katie Heffernan, 3rd Sarah Burke.
Congratulations to Aoife who now goes on to represent Westmeath in the national Féile Skills final for the third year in a row.
