Dean McNicholas Tyrellspass
DIVISION 1 LEAGUE
Tyrrellspass played Tang last Tuesday evening in Tyrrellspass in round 4 of the senior league. This was a must win game for Tyrrellspass who were without any points in the league so far. From the start, both teams tried hard to take control of the game but this turn out to be a dour affair, with both sides having a lot of possession, their final ball into their fowards was either over hit or intercepted by a defender. Our first score came from a free by Brian Slevin after 5 minutes, Tang got the next 2 scores the first from play and the second from a free. Tyrrellspass went 20 minutes before they got 2 more point,s both from play by Conor Slevin and Mark Staunton. Tang replied with 2 frees to make the half time score Tyrrellspass 3 points Tang 4 points. Tyrrellspass replaced David Jessop with John Corcoran at half with the hope of getting more scores but after Dean Mc Nichollas equailized with a point in the 31 minute we failed to score for the next 26 minutes and Tang scored a goal and 6 points. Tyrrellspass final score of the game came from a point by Seanie Bagnall leaving the final score Tyrrellspass 0-5 Tang 1-10. This was a very dissapointing result and if Tyrrellspass are to have any hope of staying in division 1 we need to get our county players back playing club league games and not giving all their time to the county team. Team ; Brendan Daly, Sean Deegan, Terence O'Brien, Stephen Quinn, Shane Arthur, Jamie Gonoud, Ben Gavin, Dean McNicholas 0-1, Sean Bagnall 0-1, David Jessop, Gavin Hoey, Conor Slevin 0-1, Ciaran Daly, Brian Slevin 0-1, Mark Staunton 0-1. Subs; John Corcoran for David Jessop, Jer O'Toole for Ciaran Daly.

DIVISON 3 LEAGUE

Tyrrellspass division 3 team had a good win over Multyfarnham in Multy last Friday evening. Short a number of players some who had a genuine reason for not been available and others who were not bothered to turn up we just had a team. Tyrrellspass dominated the first half and were completely on top and went in at half time leading 1-8 to 0-3, Our goal coming from Mark Staunton. Multyfarnham came out in the second half and were much more competive and really put it up to Tyrrellspass, but our lads dug deep and considering we had no subs to bring on held out for a good win on a final score of Tyrrellspass 2-16 to Multyfarnham 1-13. Team; John Hyland, Ben Gavin, Sean Deegan, Stephen Quinn, Shane Arthur 0-1, Sean Bagnall 0-1, Declan Feery, Brian Slevin 0-6, Goe Carroll, Ciaran Daly , Mark Staunton 2-4, Jonathan Sheridan, John Corcoran0-4, Joe Glennon, Ray Sheeran.
