INTERMEDIATE HURLING CHAMPIONSHIP - TURIN 3-8 RINGTOWN 1-13

On Sunday last,13th May,we travelled to a windswept Clonkill pitch to play Ringtown in our second match in this years I.H.C. The first half seen us play with the aid of a very stiff wind and we used it quite well to our advantage as we built up a half time advantage of 9 points.Goals from Andy Corcoran,Ronan Leavy and Andy Creevy had the scoreboard reading at h/t 3-5 to 1-2. We had to really battle hard all throughout the second half as Ringtown now had the wind assistance and were making less and less of our lead but a point from Ray Aughey and two from Ronan Leavy late in the game ensured we left with this vital win. Well done to all the panel on this morale boosting victory.

TRAINING - Training continues for all our adult hurlers every Tuesday and Thursday at 7.30 pm in McCabe Park.All are asked to please attend. UNDERAGE HURLING - All underage teams training continues in McCabe Park every Tuesday evenings at 6.30pm. The next under 8 blitz is fixed for Friday May 25th. Jersey winners in the underage draw for registered players were - under 6/8-Liam Heffernan. Under 10/12 - Sean Leech. Under 14/16 - Declan Colgan.

MEMBERSHIP - Membership payment is now overdue.Adult players fees remain unchanged at €50 and are vital for insurance reasons. Non-playing members fees are €20 and can be given to John Gorman or any committee member.

BONUS BALL - The lastest winners of our draw were 5th May - Patricia Foley and 12th May - Toinette O'Callaghan. Both recieves €65.
