Final appearances aplenty for Clann Gaels in 2010

April 30, 2011
In 2001, ladies teams from Bunbrosna, Multyfarnham and Streete amalgamated under the banner of Clann Gaels. Since then, Clann Gaels has gone from strength to strength, entering teams at all grades.

Achievements have included U12, U14 and U16 titles, a Minor Championship title in 2009 and a Junior County title in 2003.
2010 was no different to previous years with our U12, U14 and U16 girls competing in County Finals at their respective grades. Well done to all involved in these teams.

Notable memories from 2010 were some outstanding performances from a very young Minor team who came up against some very tough opposition when graded in the premier competition. This particular team shows great promise for the future of Clann Gaels.

The Junior ladies enjoyed a great year of football. With an increased panel to choose from, dedication to training and a new set of jerseys, the ladies were victorious in games throughout the year in the Championship and the League, culminating in narrow defeats in the Junior Championship and Intermediate League Finals. This team will be back in 2011 and we wish them the best of luck.

Outgoing Chairman Michael Beglan would like to thank the following sponsers for their assistance and support throughout the year and for the offerings received towards the much anticipated new jerseys, unveiled on Junior County Final day: Crossbar, Martin Tormey Plumbing, O'Reilly Commercials, Michael and Carmel Dolan, Bunbrosna GAA Club, the Finnan family, David Mulaniff (IPL) and Newbrook Tyres.
