Fe 14 Hurling: _Our U14 hurling development squad travelled to Newry last Thursday & played 3 matches against Down, Wicklow & Dublin. _The first match against Down was a tough encounter in the first half against the wind but Westmeath pulled away in the second half to win on a scoreline of WH 3-8 Down 1-4. _The highlight of the game was the performance of Shane Clavin & Micheal Daly in the full-forward line scoring all but 1 point of the team's total. Brian O Reilly, Darren Giles & Ronan Wallace were prominent throughout. _The final game of a busy schedule kept the good wine until last. Dublin provided the opposition & came into the game unbeaten. Westmeath started with great intensity & Shane Clavin led the charge giving WH a half time lead of 1-5 to0-5. _Dublin hit back with 2 quick goals in the second half but WH never gave up & Sean Lee struck 2 great goals to give WH a victory by 3-8 to 3-6. _Luke Byrne, Paddy Lynam, Jack Galvin, Alan kincaid & Dan Greville all helped finish off the day in style. _The team that traveled was Cathal Daly, Brian O Reilly,Ciaran Fagan,Sean Lee,Liam Mc Nally Woods,Ian Kilcoyne,Shane Clavin,Conor O Brien,Micheal Daly,Eoin Carolan,Conor Shaw,Conor Mullally,David Keegan,Darren Giles,Jack Galvin Conor Bracken,Luke Byrne,Dan Greville,Paddy Lynam,Dan Glennon,Stephen Fagan,Ronan Wallace,Andrew Corbett,Sean Flanagan,Alan Kincaid,Johnny Bermingham.
