St Marys Notes
February 22, 2010All roads led to The Downs on Sunday last 21/02/2010 for the county semi-final of Scor Sinsear. St Marys were represented in three categories; Rince Foirne, Trath na gCeisteanna, and Nuachleas. After a great evening's competition two acts from St Marys, the dancers and the question-time team, qualified for the County Final next Sunday in the Downs. The Novelty act can feel justifiably aggrieved as they put in a great performance and gasps of disbelief were audible as the results were announced. I'm sure that this group will be itching to get a crack at this again next year.
Best wishes to the dancers namely; Claire Geraghty, Leanne Geraghty, Marilyn Loran, Aoife Hyland,Angela Bradley , Janet Brogan, Ursula Heaney and Helen Heavey, and the quiz team namely; Joe Malone, Dwayne Leavy, Ray Lyster and Sarah Smyth.
Registration
A reminder that registration takes place on Friday 05/03/2010 in St Josephs hall from 8 pm to 9 pm. Registration is €10 up to 17 years old and €20 for 18 years old and upwards. Contact 0876758207 for more details.
Lotto
The club lotto took place on Friday 19/02/2010 in Wallaces. The numbers drawn were 2, 5, 13, and 24. There was no jackpot winner and 5 people matched 3 numbers and receive €60 each. They were Dympna Quinn,Nell Malone, Kyle Conway, Frank McMahon and the 2 Pauls c/o Wallaces.
Next weeks draw takes place on Friday 26/02/2010 in Bagnalls when the Jackpot will be worth €10800.00.
Table quiz
The Scor section are hosting a table quiz on Friday 05/03/2010 in Dalys. Your support is requested for this hard working section of the club. Further details from 0876332410.
