Gilroy wary of Westmeath threat

Dublin manager Pat Gilroy
Pat Gilroy expects Westmeath to pose a serious threat to Dublin's Leinster SFC ambitions at Croke Park on Sunday.
And he's refusing to read anything into the Lake County's dismal NFL form, which saw them relegated to Division 2 after seven straight defeats.
"Certainly, they had some very bad performances in the league, but they also had some very good ones as well," the Dubs boss said.
"There were times when they hit form and I thought towards the end of their last game against Wicklow, they started to show more of themselves.
"Westmeath will pose a very strong challenge to us - as they have done over the last number of years. They are very strong defensively and they can move the ball very quickly to the forward line.
"They have very dangerous players all over the pitch, so we'd be very wary of Westmeath. We have to face reality. The last team that beat us in Leinster was Westmeath and a lot of the guys that are playing on Sunday played in that game."
He continued: "We've been very focused that Westmeath are going to be a serious challenge to this Dublin team, so it wouldn't make sense to be complacent."
Gilroy is determined to avoid a repeat of the poor shooting that almost cost Dublin dearly against Meath.
"We look at things in a lot of detail after matches to see what we could improve. There's no point in hiding behind the 17 wides, but there are other things we could have improved that day as well, so we've been trying to improve on them in training.
"We'll be very disappointed if we continue with a similar shooting rate against Westmeath."
