Gaa: We welcomed Athlone to the park last Wednesday night for our Div 1 Minor Championship Quarter Final. This was always going to be a tough game, but very little between the sides when we met earlier in the year. We started brightly with two good points from play by Kevin Stone & Ben Cox. The game ebbed and flowed from here on in, Athlone knocked over a couple of frees, and we replied to keep in touching distance. The second half was scrappy at times, with both sides really going for it. In the end the difference was Athlone got two goals to secure a 6 point win. The lads gave it their all, and are a credit to both their clubs. Final score saw a win for Athlone by 2.12 to 0.12
