Waterford top-scorer Patrick Curran says they won't be taking opponents Galway for granted in anyway come Saturday's All-Ireland U21HC final.

Curran has struck 2-25 in the Deise men's run to this weekend's final at Thurles and says past results against the Tribesmen at minor level won't count on this occasion.

"The talk is that you're going to win because you beat them at minor but it doesn't work like that," Curran's quoted saying in the Irish Examiner.

"This test is going to be completely different. Galway have gone on and won a minor since that game and added fellas like Sean Loftus and Fintan Burke.

"I watched the Galway-Dublin game back and I thought they were strong all over the field. They're going to take beating."

Throw-in at Semple Stadium on Saturday is at 5pm.
