Waterford football manager Tom McGlinchey is adamant that his team's "day will come".

After an electric start to the year, Na Deise have slipped to four consecutive national football league defeats but their manager insists they are not too far off the mark:

"Anyone who would be outside the camp and hasn't seen the matches would say 'typical Waterford'. But when you are there and you see Longford last week and Carlow the week before, we lost by two points. That's only a score," he points out in The Waterford News & Star after his team had slipped to yet another two-point defeat, this one against Antrim.

"We lost but my message to the lads was to keep up the effort and keep up the application. Our day will come. I'm firmly convinced that our day will come and we're not that far away.

"We are working at it. One of these days, when they do click and everything does go right in a game for us, we will be a force to be reckoned with. It isn't too far away."
