Cappoquin manager Fintan Murray was eager to deflect praise on to the players following their Munster club IHC final win.

Murray was hailed for guiding the club to the provincial title at the expense of Limerick champions Bruff.

However, he was eager for his players to receive the plaudits and he stressed this to the Waterford News & Star.

"I just have to give credit to the players. There were times when we were under absolute savage pressure," said Murray.

"Our back line just kept getting the ball out. Right throughout the field, the players weren't going to leave Bruff get a clear shot at our goal."
