The Munster club IFC final on Sunday week will be a Cork-Kerry affair following victories for Valley Rovers and Ardfert yesterday.

A Gerry Farrell goal propelled Valley Rovers into a 1-3 to 0-1 lead after 12 minutes of their semi-final against Na Piarsaigh at the Gaelic Grounds, but Kieran Daly replied with a goal at the other end to leave the Limerick champions trailing by the minimum, 1-4 to 1-5, at half-time.

But with corner forward Fiachra Lynch kicking four points, the Cork champions eventually prevailed on a 1-11 to 1-8 scoreline.

In the other penultimate round tie at Fraher Field, Ardfert captain Jerry Wallace came off the bench to score a 37th minute goal for the Kerry side in a 1-13 to 0-7 win over Waterford's Brickey Rangers.

Ardfert had been under pressure up until then, only leading by 0-6 to 0-5, but Wallace's strike turned the game decisively in their favour.
