It was a day of contrasting fortunes across the four divisions of the Allianz football leagues...

1. Neil Gallagher (Louth)

The Wee County number one kept a clean sheet in the Division 4 final dress rehearsal against Antrim.

2. Niall McInerney (Roscommon)

Dublin didn't have it all their own way against the Rossies and McInerney & Co will be no pushovers in the knock-out stages.

3. Conor McGill (Meath)

With their Division 2 status on the line, Meath scored a six-point victory over Laois and their full-back held Donie Kingston scoreless from play.

4. Colin Walshe (Monaghan)

The former All-Star was the Monaghan hero against Donegal when kicking a precious point that saw them retain their place at the top table.

5. Jamie Malone (Clare)

The half-back's frequent forays into enemy territory has been a feature of the Banner County's promotion to Division 2 and he maintained his rich vein of scoring form against Kildare.

6. Cian O'Sullivan (Dublin)

It was business as usual for the Metropolitans who made it seven wins from as many outings against Roscommon.

7. Dara McVeety (Cavan)

McVeety lined up in the half-forward line for the throw-in against Galway but he was effectively deployed as an extra defender.

8. Darren Gallagher (Longford)

Longford consigned neighbours Westmeath to a third successive relegation and the midfielder impressed for Denis Connerton's charges.

9. Eoin Donnelly (Fermanagh)

The Fermanagh captain led by example as Pete McGrath's men preserved their Division 2 status after finishing level with table toppers Tyrone.

10. Johnny Buckley (Kerry)

The Kingdom enter the business end of the league in a confident frame of mind after winning five matches on the spin.

11. Gearoid McKiernan (Cavan)

Captain McKiernan and his team-mates made it a day to remember for Cavan fans against Galway.

12. Dean Rock (Dublin)

Rock finished with 1-8 (1-1 from play) to his name as an understrength Dublin side passed a stern examination in Carrick-on-Shannon.

13. Alan Smith (Kildare)

The Sarsfields clubman, who raised four white flags, will hope history repeats itself when they renew acquaintances with Clare in the Division 3 decider.

14. Evan Regan (Mayo)

Regan's return of nine points was a vital ingredient in Mayo's winning formula against relegated Down.

15. Stefan Campbell (Armagh)

The Orchard County's six-point win over Derry proved to be in vein as they suffered the ignominy of relegation on score difference.
