There was excitement aplenty at the Irish Cultural Center last weekend as the semi-final pairings were decided.  In senior football Donegal easily overcame the challenge of Christopher's by 5 points to move on, while Wolfe Tones had a harder time in overcoming Connemara Gaels to reach the penultimate game.  Extra time was required to separate the teams, with the Tones coming out on top by a score of 0-13 to 3-2.  Donegal will meet Shannon Blues, while the Tones and Aidan McAnespies will clash in next Sunday's semi-finals.

In senior hurling Galway pulled off a draw in a very exciting finish against Fr. Tom Burke's.  A fast start and a strong finish saw Galway earn the point that gave them the edge over Wexford who were beaten by Tipperary earlier in the day.  Galway and Tom's will meet again next Sunday to determine who shall meet Tipperary in the final.
