Rosie O'Reilly Broderick will be the guest of honour at the upcoming 81st annual banquet of The Gaelic Athletic Association of Greater New York.

Rosie has captained the New York Ladies team twice, and has the distinction of having won the most New York Championships, male or female. She is the only player to have played in all 15 finals.

Rosie continues to play for both club and county while also serving as an officer of Cavan NY GFC, including three years where she was club chairperson.

The honouring of Rosie O'Reilly-Broderick will be a special event for the New York County Board, with the Cavan New York club celebrating their centenary in 2015 and also the increasingly important role of women in the GAA.
