Last Sunday 350 girls participated in the first New York Gaelic 4 Girls blitz tournament of the year. Girls from the age of 5 - 18 were divided up into teams of different colors with teams comprised of girls from all over the New York Clubs and several girls who travelled from Philadelphia to play in the tournament. The games went on from 10 to 3 o clock on Sunday and was followed by two Senior Ladies Games in which Na Fianna defeated Kerry/Donegal and Cavan narrowly defeated Rockland. A great time was had by all with many thanks due to the Rockland Club and the Gaelic 4 Girls committee for putting on such a massive event which included a burger and hot dog concession stand and speeches from the local Congress woman.

The next Gaelic 4 Girls tournament will take place in Frank Golden Park Queens on May 20th at 10 o'clock.
