St Gabriel's retained their London SHC crown with a comprehensive 14-point victory over Brothers Pearse in the decider at Ruislip.

The winners hadn't it all their own way, however, and trailed by 0-6 to 2-3 at the break having played against a strong wind in the opening 30 minutes.

They hit 3-7 without reply in the final 20 minutes to claim their 16th title win.

Ger Hennelly netted two goals in as many minutes midway through the second half while Martin Finn also raised a green flag.
