All-Ireland champions Donegal have six representatives on the hoganstand.com football team of the week while London and Leitrim have four and three players respectively included. Down pair Peter Turley and Conor Laverty are also included following the Mourne County's brave showing in Breffni Park.

1. Paul Durcan (Donegal)

Anytime he was called into action the Donegal netminder proved equal to the task and was as safe as houses between the posts for the All-Ireland champions.

2. Philip Butler (London)

London were under pressure in the second half but Butler and his defensive colleagues helped keep the Connacht side at bay.

3. Eamon McGee (Donegal)

Another rock solid performance from Donegal's full-back who played an instrumental role in restricting Down to just four points from play.

4. Neil McGee (Donegal)

The All Star defender came out on top in his personal duel with Benny Coulter.

5. Shane Mulligan (London)

Centre-back Mulligan stood tall as Leitrim came back strongly against the Exiles in Carrick-on-Shannon.

6. Peter Turley (Down)

Grew in stature as the game against Donegal wore on and was, arguably, Down's best performer against the All-Ireland champions.

7. Barry Prior (Leitrim)

An efficient defensive display from Leitrim's half-back and he help contain London to 1-1 in the second half.

8. Darren Sweeney (Leitrim)

The midfielder was one of driving forces behind his side's strong second half showing and his second point, in response Sean Kelly's goal, proved crucial at the final whistle.

9. Rory Kavanagh (Donegal)

Kavanagh displayed a tremendous appetite for work in the All-Ireland champions' engine room.

10. Paul Brennan (Leitrim)

Deployed as a sweeper, Brennan drove at the London defence as Leitrim piled on the ressure in the second half.

11. Ciaran McCallion (London)

Despite not making the score-sheet, McCallion asked plenty of questions of the Leitrim back six, particularly in the first half.

12. Conor Laverty (Down)

Laverty's finger prints were on some of the Mourne County's best attacking moments and he was fouled for two frees which resulted in points for Donal O'Hare.

13. Colm McFadden (Donegal)

When the game was very much in the melting pot, McFadden, once again, showed his class with two long range points and finished with five in total.

14. Lorcan Mulvey (London)

The former Cavan player's physical presence caused a lot of difficulties for the Leitrim defence and he scored his team's first goal.

15. Michael Murphy (Donegal)

Roamed throughout the field and made a telling impact to his side's hard-earned victory, including five points, four of which came from frees.
