Tara Club Notes

New players welcome - the Club boast's a full compliment of teams Mens Senior and Reserves, Ladies Senior and Junior and the Youth Section cover all age groups U6 up to u18's with a Girls only section catering for U11's to U18's. We are based in West London and the Men and Ladies train at Cayton Green Park, Cayton Road (Northolt Rugby Club) in Greenford, The club house and grounds boasts superb facilities with changing rooms and showers and flood lights for when the evenings grow dark. Cayton Road is easily accessible from Greenford Central Line/National Rail/ Sudbury Hill Station - Piccadilly Line and we can organise to meet you. Ladies train on Monday's and Wednesdays and the Men train on Tuesdays and Thursdays, both with a 7.30pm start.

We compete in the Senior/ Junior Championship/League in London and Provincial Championship and are always on the lookout for new players. We are the first club in London to have a team playing at both levels. The ladies travelled to Birmingham on Sat leaving from Greenford at 7.30am to play the first round of the Intermediate Provincial Championship against John Mitchels. Despite a very good First half it was not to be our day losing out to the deserved winners.
The ladies have a fund raising Race Night at our sponsors pub Jono's in Ealing on Friday 15th June. The Ladies are asked to send all their sold Race cards and Sponsors into the Social Committee as soon as possible.
Youth
Tara U12's will participate in the Tournament that will take place on the 26th May commencing at 12 noon at St Paul's Academy in Abbeywood hosted by The Dulwich Harps
congratulation to the U14's on winning their Quarter Final match against the Round Towers. Hard luck to the Towers who gave a good account of themselves in what turned out to be a very competative match, final score Tara 6.5- Round Tower 4.5. Congratulations to the six Tara boys who are Aaron O'Shea, Michael Cunniffe, Darragh Mahon, Ryan Mc Cready, Colm Mc Sheffrey and James Fennelly who have been selected to represent London at the U14 Feile in Loaise in June.
U16's league semi finals are to be played on Saturday the 26th May venue and time tbc. Training on Thursday at 7.30pm at Northolt.
Men
The Men's Club are actively looking for new players, anyone interested in moving to London to play Senior football in London look no further. The Club will help new players withwork and accommodation.
The men gave a good account of themselves against TCG in the first round of the League. Final score TCG 0-12 - Tara 0-07. This will give the Tara Manager Fergal Cunningham, lots of positives to work on for next week-end. The Reserves played their first game of the season losing to TCG. They worked hard and should look to build on this performance.
All players asked to be on time for training on tuesday and thursday as important training nights leading up to the first round of the Championship against st kiernan's on sunday 27th May at 4pm at Ruislip.
