Early London return for Hehir

March 11, 2010
Former London football Paul Hehir will make a sooner than expected return to Ruislip as he is part of the Clare squad facing the exiles on Sunday.

The sides meet in the division four clash and London will go into the match full of confidence having comfortably defeated Kilkenny last weekend.

Clare are unbeaten though and will be favourites to take the points here. For their newest recruit it will be a strange feeling going back to the venue where he lined out so often.

"It's going to be a weird one for me," Hehir told The Irish Post. "I trained with London for two months this year and know nearly everyone on the team. Hopefully, I can get on for 15 or 20 minutes. I'm sure Noel Dunning won't be too worried about me; he'll be concentrating on the whole Clare team rather than just one individual.

"Obviously I'm hoping that we can get the win but bar this game I want to see London doing well. People don't realise the effort the players put in over here; when I told the Clare lads they couldn't believe it."
