Tara GFC Club Notes Senior Training As there is a challenge game on Wednesday and training will be Friday 7.30 in Northolt. Anyone unable to attend please contact management. Fixtures / Results There were no senior fixtures last week. The reserves went down 2-13 to 3-07 to Tir Chonaill Gaels. This weekend s game against Parnells is a must win.game to stay in contention for league honours. The game is on Saturday 4th July 4pm Greenford. There is a challenge game for the senior team against London Juniors Wednesday night 7.15 in Ruislip. Players to be be at the ground for 7pm. If details of either game changes players will be notified by text. The club also had a few players in action for London Juniors on their win against Warwickshire. Well done to Brian Moriarty, Darren Gallagher, Danny O Mahony and Rob Whelan. The London Juniors have now qualified to play Scotland in the semi final in Manchester. Game to be played Sunday 5th July. Ladies News Last weekend saw the Tara Ladies Junior team make the trek north to Birmingham to take on Sean McDermotts in the second round of the Provincial Junior Championships.  In extremely hot and testing conditions, Tara Junior fought hard and in the first half and were very disciplined in defence to be up by 4 points to 1 at half time.  Catriona Brennan and Collette Rice combined with the midfield to put a number of scores over the bar in the second half, along with goals from Hannah Tracey, Shannon Ward & Collette Rice  which saw Tara Junior come storming through to win 3.8 to 1.6.  A big congratulations to Claire Julian in her outstanding debut for the club in goals, along with Emma Browne who did a lot of work on the wing throughout the game.  Next game sees Tara Junior take on Clonbony on Saturday at 1pm in Round 3 of the Junior Championship The Tara Senior Team are training hard and potentially have a challenge game against Holloway Wednesday night  keep an eye on the emails for more info.   Minor News Training commenced for all the age groups Thursday for the Under 16 s and the Friday for 4  14 year olds so we hope to see all their whether it be a Thursday or a Friday.  If you have any queries regarding training please contact the relevant underage manager. The Tara Under 12's played out in Goodmayes last weekend against the Thomas McCurtains and the Clarets, they won well against the Thomas McCurtains but unfortunately drew against the Clarets in final stages of the game. Though the effort from the players looks to have secured them the place in the Championship Division A which is being played this weekend, Venue to be confirmed.  Special thanks goes to John McSheffrey and Pat Mahon who managed the team on the day and the Club would like to wish the players the best of luck this weekend as well.   A special mention has to go to the Tara Girls who are involved in the London Under 14 panel and we would like to wish them Good Luck in Kildare. Also a special mention has to go to the players that are involved in the London Under 16 and London U18 teams and we would like to wish both teams Good Luck in their Finals this weekend against Warwickshire in Birmingham.
