St Brendans GFC London Club Notes
September 01, 2008
After a very disappointing performance in our last match against a good Tir Chonaill Geals team, we await to find out the results from other matches to see if we continue in this seasons Championship. Training has resumed on Tuesday and Thursday nights but at the earlier time of 7.00. The venue is still Richmond college.
There is a committee meeting in Ruislip this coming Wednesday at 8.00. All members to attend.
Events: The Annual St Brendan's Golf day is upcoming on the 27th September. The day has always been well attended and is a vital fundraiser for the club. The cost of the day is £50 per person and will be played in teams of four. For further details please contact John Malone or any of the committee members.
The club would like to wish a few of its players all the best as they are moving on from London.
Billy Molloy and his girlfriend are moving to Brunei to take up teaching posts for a few years. Billy has been the number one goal keeper for St Brendan's for over six years and will certainly be missed. We wish them good luck.
Martin Gillespie who is moving back to Ireland with his wife Maria and son Eden. Martin has been with the club for more than six years and the father figure of the club will be missed.
