Tyrone ladies

December 05, 2016

The Tyrone Ladies senior football squad are currently in full preparation for the new season. They open their national league division two campaign at the end of January and are determined to make a real fist of things.

The ladies squad rely on self funding from the Tyrone Ladies county board and the support of sponsors, there are costs involved in producing champions, facilities and specialist coaching for example and without input of other funding the girls have organised a massive fundraising draw.

"The girls deserve the highest of praise for making the move with this Christmas draw" explained new County Chairperson Dinna McCrory, "The girls don't get a big influx of funds and rather than put the burden on the County board they are taking on the responsibility to help themselves"  The players are currently out selling lines at £5 each with a top prize of a weekend at a McEniff Hotel, sponsored by Brian McEniff as well as several cash prizes and vouchers.

The draw was launched recently by Mrs McCrory with manager Gerry Moane and coach Brendan McLaughlin. The Draw takes place on December 20th
