Philip Jordan wants Tyrone to test Kerry's mettle this afternoon.

The three-time All-Ireland winning defender is convinced the All-Ireland champions can be beaten if Tyrone apply their pressing game.

"For Tyrone to beat Kerry, they need to play right on the edge," he stated in his Irish News column.

"I always feel there are doubts about the desire of defending champions and Tyrone's style of play is suited to testing that desire.

"Strong, suffocating defending, intensity in the tackle, ravenous work-rate and fast, determined ball-carrying will ask Kerry questions they may not be able to answer.

"The Tyrone players must not go back to being 'nothing' to please the critics. Front up, don't take a step back. They are capable of upsetting the bookies' favourites."
