Tyrone corner forward Darren McCurry is becoming a more accomplished defender.

The modern game dictates that everybody from 1 to 15 has a defensive brief and the Edendork clubman admits he's been working on tracking back:

"I wouldn't be too used to the defending but I have been working on it now over the last year, to get back and help the team out," he reveals in The Irish News.

"Look, I'm getting used to it, my legs are getting stronger and I'm able to get back now. It's tough but I have worked a lot this year on my fitness, my upper body strength and my legs.

"It's sore on the body, you need to be eating the right food, doing the right recovery, get the fluids on and get the body back into shape again."
