Harte's challenge to Mulligan

Tyrone boss Mickey Harte has challenged Owen Mulligan to rediscover the form that made him one of football's hottest properties a few years ago.

The three-time All-Ireland winning forward captained the Red Hands in last Sunday's McKenna Cup semi-final victory over Fermanagh and marked the occasion with a brilliant goal that was reminiscent of his famous strike against Dublin in the 2005 All-Ireland quarter-final replay.

"Owen Mulligan is always capable of doing things which are different to anybody else. That is his trademark if you like," Harte said in the Irish News.

"He's a player of high quality and he hasn't lost that. But he has to realise that he needs to produce that flair on a more regular basis if he wants to be the next leader on the team up front."
