Stephen O'Neill can't wait to line out against former team-mate Peter Canavan's team.

The pair have won All-Ireland medals together in Tyrone's full forward line but on Wednesday night at Omagh O'Neill's former mentor Canavan will be in the visitor's dug-out as he brings his fledgline Fermanagh side to town for the McKenna Cup Section A decider.

Veteran attacker O'Neill, who hit 1-3 in his first appearance of the year against Antrim on Sunday, tells the Irish News:

"Peter has been doing a great job with Fermanagh and anybody who doesn't respect him needs their head examined.

"He'll have them well-organised and well-drilled, but hopefully not too well-drilled.

"It will be a good game and I'm sure there'll be a good turn-out on Wednesday night in Omagh to see who is victorious. We'll be looking forward to that." Tweet
