Saturday evening past saw our seniors exit the championship at the quarter final stage where despite a late surge they lost out by a single point to Coalisland. Sights are now firmly focused on the reserve semi-final this Friday evening when our lads take on Omagh at 6:45pm in Fintona. We ask you to make the effort to come out and get behind the team as they push for a spot in the final. Good luck to all involved. On Sunday then it is back to the league campaign as both seniors and reserves are scheduled to travel to Cookstown. The seniors throw in at 1:30pm while the reserves precede them at 12pm. Please note that these arrangements are open to change.
Meanwhile the juniors recorded a comfortable victory over Castlederg on Sunday past and are back in action this Saturday with an away game to Brocagh. You are asked to check press for further details.
Meanwhile the minors were in Championship action on Wednesday night against Cookstown and we hope by this stage managed to experience success. Commiserations to the U12s who made it all the way to the final of our annual Myles McCann tournament on Saturday only to be beaten by Carrickmore. We take this opportunity to thank all who helped out in any way on the day and before hand. We ask all U12 players to note that there will be no training this week but there is a tournament on this Saturday in Pomeroy and the bus will leave Ballygawley Chapel at 9:30am sharp. The U13 team have a busy few days starting tonight (Thurs) when they make their way to Dromore for a 6:45pm throw-in with the bus leaving the Chapel at 6pm and then on Monday evening they entertain Omagh in Dunmoyle.
The U10 team are also in action on Saturday with a blitz in Omagh and again the bus leaves the town at 9:30am sharp. Prior to that training will continue tonight (thurs) at the usual times for U8/10s.
On the ladies scene the U10 team will bring the curtain down on their season tonight (thurs) with a game away to Loughmacrory . The game is scheduled for 6:30pm with the bus leaving Ballygawley at 5:30pm. The u12 team entertained St Macartans on Wednesday past while the same night saw the start of Gaelic for Mothers which is a 6 week venture which will take place each Wednesday in Dunmoyle at 8pm and all mothers are welcome to come along and get back in their stride and show them how it is done!

The Seniors were in action last weekend when they travelled to O'Neills Park, Dungannon to take on Derrylaughin in the IFC quarter-finals. Killeeshil were hoping to leave their poor league form behind them and battle to claim a place in the semi-final line-up. The team needed to get away to a quick start but it was Derrylaughin who began the brighter and raced into a commanding lead mid-way through the first half. The hoops re-grouped well though scoring 1-2 before the break to seemingly give themselves a small life-line and something to build on in the second period. The Kevin Barry's had other ideas and were always able to keep Killeeshil at arms length, eventually closing the game out to record a ten point victory. While the team could not be faulted for effort it was certainly a day when they were far from their best and they will be disappointed at the margin of defeat in the end. They must pick now themselves up for the remaining three league games, try to rediscover some confidence and form in a bid to retain their intermediate status.
The first of those league games takes place this Sunday 5th September with a home game v Rock. The Reserves return to action after having a break last weekend. Please note both games have an earlier start time than normal; Reserve 12 noon & Senior 1.30pm.
The U-16 Boys travel to Castlederg this Saturday 4th September to take on the St.Eugenes in the Championship at 5.30pm. Transport details will be announced at training. Good luck to all involved.
The U-13 team are due to play their first game the season when they host Moy on Thursday 2nd September at 6.45pm, all eligable players to be at the pitch for no later than 6.15pm.
The U-12 Boys made their way to Clogher last Saturday to take part in a tournament which was organised by the Eire Og club. After a string of great performances the young hoops returned home with the silverware, a fine achievement by this talented group of players. Well done to all the boys and their management team.
There will be an U-10 Blitz this Saturday 4th September in Derrytresk. The Blitz has a start time of 10.00am and a bus will be leaving the Community Centre at 9.00am.
The U-16 Girls game v Clann na Gael was postponed last week as the North Tyrone team could not field. The team were in action though on Monday past when they travelled to Killyclogher to face Cappagh in the Championship. After recording a narrow win in the league over the same opponents a few weeks back the girls were expecting a tough assignment and set about their task in determined fashion. A brisk start saw the the team knock over the first three points of the game but a Cappagh goal brought the sides back to level terms. However, that goal seemed to spark Cilliseal into life as they moved up a couple of gears before half-time and they regained a lead they were never to lose. A good all round team performance saw the girls control the second period against a gallant Cappagh who fought to the final whistle. The girls return to league action on Tuesday 7th September with an away trip to Ardboe. Transport times etc. to be confirmed at training.
Training for all U-8, U-10 and U-12 girls continues on Wednesday evenings from 6-7pm. All help is greatly appreciated.
Best of luck to Tyrone Senior Ladies, and especially club players Claire Scullion and Catriona McGahan, this Saturday as they prepare to take on Kerry in the All-Ireland semi-final which takes place in Ballymahon, Co. Longford at 3.15pm. Hopefully the team can continue their good form and take their place in the All-Ireland final. Good luck girls.
The club would like to express its sympathy to the Donnelly family on their recent bereavement. May their loved one Rest In Peace.
Anyone who has any information they would like to have considered for the club notes, please forward it to

Kildress qualified for the next round of the Vinny Gormley tournament last Thursday night. Following a defeat by Moortown the lads needed to beat Greencastle in the final game and managed to do what their younger counterparts couldn't mage a few days later with an excellent display. Highlights included two super scores from Sean Tracey, a superb goal from Jason Mulgrew following a trademark audacious dummy and a free kick scored by Frankie Corey - That wasn't a misprint Frankie really did score a free!
Fundraising Draw

MENS FOOTBALL
The Pearses secured a vital two points at the weekend overcoming Aghyaran on a score line of 2-9 to 0-7. Michael Murphy opened the scoring with a point, with Peter Murphy adding another soon after. The visitors soon drew level before Michael Murphy got on the end of a high ball into the square to fist it into the net. Aghyaran continued to stay in the game as a result of free kicks but Ronan Hagan's fisted point kept Galbally in the lead going in at the break. Half-Time 1-3 0-5. Michael Murphy converted two frees early in the second half as the Pearses began to control the play with Shane McCrory consistently solid in defence. Peter Murphy grabbed another goal for Galbally being quickest to react after the initial high ball in by Paddy Corrigan. Eamon McElroy then got on the score sheet with a well taken point before Peter Murphy's attempted 'lob' of the Aghyaran goalkeeper unluckily came off the cross bar. Michael Murphy closed the game with another point to give the Pearses a much needed victory.

Trí Leac Naomh Mhic Artáin
Last weekend proved to be a very successful weekend for the 'Reds' both on and off the field of play. Tri Leac Seniors followed Wednesday night's victory over Clonoe with an impressive 3:9 to 1:9 win away to Donaghmore on Sunday. Another crucial fixture awaits this Sunday (5th) when Kildress visit Donnelly Park. Reserve game at 12 noon with Senior at 1.30pm.
Off the field the club celebrated the first 'Rockin with the Reds' festival with a fun filled weekend of entertainment that got underway with the band parade and 'It's a knockout' competitions on Friday evening and ended with a huge crowd to hear the Supersers and Poitin on Sunday night in the Marquee. Throughout the weekend we had dances, discos, the brougher walk, underage football, as well as the long awaited return of the Sports day on Sunday afternoon. The 'Wigs and Wellies' football match provided great entertainment for the sports day crowd who saw some local characters sporting some questionable attire in an hugely amusing game of 'football'. Best wishes to Sean Doyle who injured himself in the game following an accidental collision with one of our lady footballers. The festival proved to be a tremendous success and we look forward to this being an annual event. Great credit must go to the festival organising committee of Bernie McCann, Nicola Gormley, Shauna McElholm, Fiona McCarney, Damian Kelly, Seamus McCaughey, Liam Donnelly, Conor Daly, Gerry Donnelly, Joe McElholm and Ferghal Donnelly. Their hard work in planning and organising along with the many stewards and volunteers who helped with the event, made the festival such a success. Thanks also to the many generous sponsors, especially the Marquee entertainment sponsors Patsy McCaughey and Sean McSorley (Country Cousins), Ciaran McElholm (D.J Kerno) and Malachy McCarney, Costcutter (Poitin). More festival reports and photographs will be available on the Club website that will be published soon. See next weeks notes for details.

Strabane Ladies 1-8 Fintona Pearses 4-19; Despite their best efforts, our senior Ladies were no match for a rampant Fintona side in the Tyrone Junior B final on sunday last. Under 16s
Fr Rocks under 16s unbeaten run came to an end at Paddy Cullen Park on Wednesday evening as Naomh Mhuire took the points on a final score line of 1-8 to 1-12. It was the visitors who started the game on the front foot and were two points ahead after five minutes. It was Owen O'Connor who settled the Rocks nerves with two brilliant free kicks from the ground from all of forty yards. A Naomh Mhuire goal brought the the young Rocks to life and they fought their way back into the game, with a brace of points from Barry Potter, a Peter Murray point from play, an excellent Owen Coyle free kick and a superbly finished goal from Potter. This allowed Cookstown a halftime lead of 1-6 to 1-3. In the second half Cookstown simply did not get going and had only two scores from James McGahan and Barry Potter to show for their efforts. This was a disappointing result for a team which had played some brilliant football this season and they will hope to bounce back from this minor setback in the next game. The Fr Rocks team lined up as follows; N Wallace, Bloomer, R Mullan, T Brennan, O Coyle, C Blake, J McKeever, P Murray, J McGahan, C Owens, O O'Connor, B Potter, G McKenna, M Hughes, O Maguire. The boys are in championship action this Saturday evening when the play Errigal Ciaran in Dunmoyle, throw in 5:30pm.
