Fawl calls for a performance

June 25, 2009
Tyrone hurling manager Tony Fawl has guided his charges to within 70 minutes of the Lory Meagher final and he knows that the side must perform to the best in order to make the decider. Following last weekend's win over Leitrim, the Red Hand County now face a Longford side that they defeated in the league albeit by the narrowest of margins. Fawl is in no doubt that anything other than a top drawer display will see them lose out on a place in the final, but he is confident that his players can deliver. "Our work rate is most important. If you haven't the work rate you are going nowhere. Everyone on the field showed the spirit against Leitrim and we are determined to keep our focus," said Fawl. "There is nothing better than winning games to keep the momentum going and with a place in the final on offer we have all the incentive we need."
