AN SRATH BÁN CUMANN MHIC SIOGHAIR C.L.G. Adult Football: There was a very good attendance at the adult players meeting last Friday night to arrange the Strength & Power training sessions. The sessions have now got underway so please contact Dermot Corry, Dessie O'Connor, Brendan McLaughlin or Ciarán McLaughlin if you are interested in attending. All players will be introduced to the training programme for the six weeks programme. Keep a check on the club website for up to date information on the sessions. The plan is to continue the development of functional strength & power in preparation for Intermediate Football in 2009. Information on training routines, nutrition, targets and expectations will be given out to all participants. This is a chance for new players and returning players to build a solid foundation. A warm welcome is extended to everyone intending to play adult football next season. Fáilte Mór. The club have taken delivery of the new club shorts and socks and are appealing to all adult players to ensure that they purchase such. Anyone interested in buying the shorts and socks at a reduced club cost of £10:00 should contact Paddy Jack. Youth Football: Pre season coaching for the clubs Minor footballers got underway at the clubrooms last Wednesday night and will continue every Wednesday night from 6-7pm. All players interested in playing with the club at Minor level in 2009 are welcome to attend. Please be at the clubrooms for 5:45pm. The Under 12, 10 and 8 age groups travelled to the Bowling Alley in Derry last Saturday for their end of season trip and all the children enjoyed a great day out. The only hiccup was the fact that the bus departed on schedule but the party left behind one of the club coaches and as the children who were present on the trip will testify to the fact that Banana was left behind in Banana's. This isn't a wind up or a joke this is a fact! Sorry Richard, this story just had to be told, so you'll learn to be at the designated point when instructed instead of playing amusement machines but al least you got yourself a cuddly toy out of the grabber machine. Coaching & Games Development: Anyone who was unable to attend the recent Coaching & Games Development Committee meeting held at the club and who still wants to be involved in managing, coaching or assisting any of the club teams during 2009 should get in touch with Ciarán McLaughlin as soon as possible. Club Leisurewear: The club are taking final orders for club leisurewear prior to Christmas. If you wish to order, shorts, socks, polo shirts, hooded tops, tracksuits or kit bags then please contact Kieran O'Kane by the extended deadline of tomorrow (Friday) 14th November at the very latest. Annual Awards Dinner Dance: The clubs Annual Awards Dinner Dance in conjunction with Sigersons Ladies will take place on Saturday 22nd November in the Fir Trees Hotel. The club have several pieces of silverware to show off this year and will also be hoping to have the Sam Maguire and the Tom Markham Cups present along with a few special guests. The clubs Senior and Reserve teams that won their respective leagues will be presented with their medals at the event. Tickets priced at £20:00 each are now available from Ignatius Maguire, Aodhán Harkin, Teressina Bonner, and Ciarán McLaughlin or at the Social Club. Music: Davy Kerrigan. Annual General Meeting: The clubs Annual General Meeting will take place on Tuesday 2nd December @ 7:30pm in the clubrooms. All members, players, parents and supporters are invited to be in attendance. If you wish to play your part in the future direction of the club then please come along and lend your help and assistance. Nomination and motions forms will be available shortly. Club Mass: The Annual Club Mass for deceased members and their relatives will be held in Sigersons Social Club on Wednesday 3rd December @ 7:30pm with Fr Declan Boland P.P. the concelebrant. Scór na nÓg: Comhghairdeas to the club Instrumental Music Group who won through to the Tír Eoghain Scór na nÓg final following a great performance last Friday night in Killyclogher. Unfortunately the Ballad Group were unable to participate owing to one of the members being sick. Go raibh maith agaibh to all our participants and best wishes to the Instrumental Music Group in the final next weekend in Killeeshil. CRAIC Cultural Night: CRAIC will present a night of Irish Culture in the Alley Theatre tomorrow night (Friday) 14th November @ 8pm. Come along and enjoy the music, song and dance, as well as the renowned local CRAIC musicians, there will be set dancing, Irish dancing, recitations and also he Gaelscoil choir. All proceeds on the night will go towards CRY (Cardiac Risk in the Young). As well as a representative from CRY, it is also hoped to have a representative from the Tyrone team present on the night. Your support for the event would be warmly welcomed. Tickets are £5:00. Social Activities: Entertainment in the Social Club continues as normal this weekend. Saturday Night: Flight of Earls.
